MerelyIP is written by John Zevitas, an associate for the Attentive Law Group, who assists entrepreneurs and businesses with their intellectual property and business law matters. His enthusiasm for trademarks, and all things IP, originated at the young age of 15 when he started his own hot sauce company. That experience taught him the true value of intellectual property and the benefits it can provide businesses of all sizes. Since then, John has devoted his life and career to helping clients maximize the value of their trademarks and other intellectual property assets.
This blog was created in an effort to provide clarity for
those unfamiliar with the world of intellectual property. News headlines are constantly
filled with abstract stories about intellectual property but journalists never
take the time to truly describe how these stories may affect you. It is my goal
to dissect these stories, translate the legalese, and provide my readers with
the information they need and want to know about the ever-changing IP
landscape.
